How do you make sure you are as little in the way of other surfers as possible and make it safe for everyone in the water? You will learn basic etiquette and right-of-way rules.
How to pop-up quickly and in a balanced way?
The pop-up is one of the techniques that many beginning surfers quickly get wrong. Learn the basics of the pop-up and how to stand balanced on your board.
How to spot currents and how to get out of it?
A (rip)current CAN be dangerous. That's why we learn to recognize a rip current and learn how to best deal with it and use it to our advantage.
When and how do you get past the break?
If you really want to learn how to surf you need to go a little further out to sea. Learn how to paddle and use the 'turtle roll' to get behind broken waves.
How to wax your new surfboard for grip?
Often it is necessary to wax your first hardtop surfboard. Learn exactly how to do this and how to get the perfect wax layer on your board.
